DR. MIRIAM CHUNG
Dr. Chung is a board certified anesthesiologist, who completed her dental anesthesiology program at New York University's Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she successfully managed a variety of complex medical, surgical, and trauma cases. Her extensive training at a Level 1 Trauma Center provided her with invaluable experience in cardiology, internal medicine, and medical anesthesiology. During her program, Dr. Chung treated all types of patients, including a variety of pediatric and special needs patients. Examples include children with autism, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, and very young pre-cooperative children. In addition, she has provided outpatient ambulatory anesthesia in Arizona and California.
Dr. Chung attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry and graduated with honors. From there, she continued her studies at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she earned a doctorate degree in dental surgery.
She currently lives in Madison, WI with her husband and son, Calvin.
Dr. Chung is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, American Dental Association and New York State Dental Association. She holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
